BRIEF DESCRIPTION
Studija Cita Perspektīva (SCP) is a creative association working at the intersection of film, education, and social impact. We design and deliver non-formal learning using cinema and digital storytelling to build media literacy, critical thinking, and intercultural dialogue, especially among youth.
Our mission is to create stories that shift perspectives - turning films into classrooms, equipping young people with storytelling skills, and building bridges between cultures through media and art. Our core team combines filmmaking, youth facilitation, event management and creative industries experience, enabling us to deliver high-quality learning activities and impactful dissemination across borders.
As project partners, we contribute facilitation, curriculum design, on-site coordination, audiovisual production, and strong dissemination (short docs, visual stories, social media). Our team blends filmmaking and youth work expertise, enabling us to turn ideas into engaging activities and measurable outcomes across borders.
Studija Cita Perspektīva (SCP) is a creative non-profit organisation registered in Bauska, Latvia, dedicated to youth empowerment, cross-cultural communication, and documentary filmmaking. Our core mission is to provide access to high-quality media education and international cooperation for young people, especially those with fewer opportunities and from under-represented backgrounds. SCP implements workshops, film labs, and transnational youth exchanges that combine creative practice with personal development, fostering critical thinking, intercultural dialogue and active civic engagement.
SCP’s activities include:
Documentary and cinema education for youth (hands-on workshops, mentoring, screenings).
International youth collaborations and exchanges across Europe.
Capacity-building for grassroots creative practitioners (training in video production, storytelling, community media).
Community outreach projects that strengthen digital skills and cultural expression.
Our programmes draw on media as a tool for social inclusion and personal agency, aligning with Erasmus+ priorities in youth participation, inclusion, and digital creative skills development.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE & ACTIVITIES
We run practical workshops that turn films into learning spaces covering visual literacy, storyboarding, filming, editing, and reflective discussions aligned with Erasmus+ non-formal education methods (teamwork, role-play, debates, digital tools). In EU-funded and partner projects, SCP typically leads or supports: needs analysis; session and curriculum design; participant prep; logistics and risk management; facilitation; impact tracking (pre/post reflections, Youthpass-aligned); and content creation for dissemination (short documentaries, photo/video stories, social media campaigns).
